The Putrajaya Landmark or Mercu Tanda is the first landmark in Putrajaya where the site of federal administrative centre was established here in 1995. It is located in Putra Perdana Park (which happens to be the highest point in Precinct 1 of Putrajaya, Malaysia). The Putrajaya Landmark symbolises the beginnings of Putrajaya with its time capsule structure. Its design is a combination of a high-technology theme and the use of contemporary and traditional motifs. Plaza Mercu or Landmark Plaza, is landscaped with trees and water fountains. Kuan Yin Temple

One of the oldest Chinese temples in Penang, the Kuan Yin Teng or the Goddess of Mercy Temple was built in 1800 by early immigrant settlers from China and land given by the East India Company and originally named Kong Hock Keong or the Cantonese-Hokkien Temple, as it was jointly established by both clans. But just as mercy knows no bounds, the temple has come to be known by the name of its patron saint and its devotees include Chinese from any clan and all walks of life. The most popular Chinese temple in Penang, it is congested on the full moon days of the1st and 15th day of the Chinese lunar month, holy days for the observance of precepts. On the three enlightenment days of Kuan Yin, the 19th day of the 2nd, 6th and 9th Chinese lunar month, the whole temple is brimming with devotees and visitors who turn up for worship and also to join in the celebrations and watch the puppet shows and Chinese operas staged on the temple's open grounds.

The cobbled square in front of the temple is a comforting sight with the burning of kim and gin (gold and silver paper), feeding of a lively flock of pigeons, burning of incense and joss paper and also with the bustling about by the temple hawkers. It is also here that the followers of Hare Krishnan distribute food free to the homeless, beggars and the hungry regardless of race. At a corner of the same square is a well, shaped in an octagon, which was once a public well for the Chinese community.

It is interesting to know that although mercy and heavens know no bounds, the devotees of the temple consider the temple to be of important geomantic significance. When the Malayan Railway was built in 1907 with a huge clock tower, the Chinese community saw it as a conspiracy against them as the feng shui of the temple would then undergo a change! But a more likely explanation would be that the temple's pair of stone lions who loved to play out at the sea's edge at night would then be without their enjoyment.

Penang Khoo Kongsi

The Khoo Kongsi (邱公司) is a large Chinese clanhouse with elaborate and highly ornamented architecture, a mark of the dominant presence of the Chinese in Penang. The famous Khoo Kongsi is the grandest clan temple in the country. It is also one of the city's major historic attraction. The clan temple has retained its authentic historic setting, which includes an association building, a traditional theatre and the late 19th century rowhouses for clan members, all clustered around a granite-paved square. It is located in Cannon Square in the heart of the oldest part of the city of George Town, in the midst of narrow, winding lanes and quaint-looking pre-War houses exuding a palpable old world charm.

The Khoo Kongsi is a clan association of the Leong San Tong (Dragon Mountain Hall) clan, whose forefathers came from Sin Kang clan village in Hokkien province. The Khoos were among the wealthy Straits Chinese traders of 17th century Malacca and early Penang. In the 19th century, the clan complex resembled a miniature clan village, with its own self-government as well as educational, financial, welfare and social organisations. The clan temple was built in 1906 when the Khoo clan was at the height of wealth and eminence in Penang society.

The forefathers of the Khoo family who emigrated from South China built it as a clanhouse for members of the Khoo family in 1851. It was burnt down in 1894, allegedly struck by lightning, and the Chinese believed that it was due to its resemblance to the Emperor's palace, which provoked the gods. A scaled-down version was later built in 1902 and completed in 1906. Even so, the complex boasts a magnificent hall embellished with intricate carvings and richly ornamented beams of the finest wood bearing the mark of master craftsmen from China. The clan temple is dedicated to the clan's patron deities and also houses a collection of ancestral tablets. Chinese operas are still staged at the theatre during the seventh lunar month. They are a wonderful cultural experience worth witnessing.

Like many such clan associations in South East Asia, Khoo Kongsi is no longer the center of important social activities and functions that it once held. Different strategies and ideas are being implemented to redefine the place of clan associations in the 21st century.

Kek Lok Si Temple

The Kek Lok Si Temple (Penang Hokkien for "Temple of Supreme Bliss" or "Temple of Sukhavati"; Simplified Chinese: 极乐寺; Traditional Chinese: 極樂寺) is a Buddhist temple situated in Air Itam in Penang and is one of the best known temples on the island. It is the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia.

Mahayana Buddhism and traditional Chinese rituals blend into a harmonious whole, both in the temple architecture and artwork as well as in the daily activities of worshippers.

Most visitors approach the temple as they ascend a stairway, roofs of which provide shelter to a multitude of shops selling souvenirs and other - mostly secular - commodities. They pass by a so-called Liberation Pond, following the buddhist tradition of merit-making, turtles may be released into freedom, albeit a limited one.

The temple itself consists of several large halls for assembly and prayer, here, statues of Buddha, various Bodhisattvas as well as Chinese gods are being venerated. Intricate woodwork, often brightly painted and a plethora of lanterns add to the visual impression.

There is an inclined lift to carry pilgrims and visitors further uphill. On the elevated platform, you can find a pond filled with Koi and the towering statue of Kuan Yin, Goddess of Mercy, which can also be regarded as Avalokitheshvara, Bodhisattva of Universal Compassion.

Did you know that there are ‘Sakura’ flowers in Penang? Well, it’s not really a Sakura flowers but it looks very much like the ones in Japan. Penang’s very sakura only blooms once every year and last about one to two weeks. It’s really beautiful. This time, i am unable to be back on time to enjoy the beautiful sakura. Thanks HP for letting me to share his pictures he took on Sakura in my blog.

For those of you who are interested to know where this is. It is the street from PISA to Pantai Mutiara Hospital called Persiaran Mahsuri. A little word of advice, if you are a photographer, be careful of incoming cars and not too carried away with photo taking.

Situated beside the Butterfly Park, within the Lake Garden vicinity, the Orchid Garden houses about 3,000 orchid species from around the world, with 800 species from Malaysia alone.

An adjoining section is devoted to the hibiscus, Malaysia's national flower. This section showcases more than 2,000 varieties of hibiscuses. It is common for the occupants of the nearby Butterfly Park to visit these gardens, creating a more lively atmosphere. The Garden is transformed into a bazaar during weekends where both the orchid and the hibiscus are on sale.

Wisma Kastam which currently houses the state Customs Department was formerly the Malayan Railway Building that sat alongside trading offices and warehouses built in the 20th century.

Back when it was called the Malayan Railway Building, the station is believed to be the only one in the world without a rail. Instead of platforms or trains, it had administrative offices, a ticketing booth and a first-class Railways Restaurant with Bar and Grill.

Passengers bought their tickets at the Penang Railway Station, walked to the Railway Jetty at the end of the China Street Ghaut and boarded the Railway Ferry Streamers to Butterworth to catch the train. Fares to and from Penang were inclusive of the ferry ride

Kellie Castle, Perak

Kellie's Castle was meant to be a home away from home for Scottish Planter, William Kellie Smith in the 19th century in Perak. Being far from his home country, Kellie desired his new residence to be reminiscent of his residence back in Scotland. The castle is perched on top of a hill.

William Kellie Smith was an interesting man who was popular with his South Indian workers. Kind at heart, he erected a Hindu shrine for his workers on the castle premise. As a token of appreciation, his workers in return erected a statue of Kellie complete in a white suit and hat.

Construction of this unique castle begun in 1915. However, work came to an abrupt halt with Kellie's sudden death in 1926. The ruins of the uncompleted orange-coloured castle stand in isolation and was overgrown with plants and creepers. In the pale moonlight it takes on an aura of a castle caught in the timelessness of a fairy tale.

Recently, efforts have been made by the Perak State Government to rescue this magnificent structure from falling into ruins. Besides being claimed to be haunted, the castle is believed to have hidden rooms and secret underground tunnels.

The road that leads to Kellie's Castle follows the contours of the land in a dizzying, maze-like fashion, adding to the mystery and romance of the place. There are also rumours that the spirit of Kellie is still wondering around the castle

Getting there is about 30-minute drive and 14 km south of Ipoh City.

PENANG BUTTERFLY FARM

The Penang Butterfly Farm is more than just a tourist attraction. It is set up as a 'live museum' to educate the public as well as a research centre to develop breeding methods.

The main attraction of the Butterfly Farm is where you can see the butterfly flying all over. The visitor can inspect the butterflies at close quarters as they flit around their favorite nectar plants. The exhibition of selected insects and reptiles are also crowd drawers. The visitor, having traversed this complex of displays ends up in a souvenir shop selling butterfly-related paraphernalia.

Today, the Penang Butterfly Farm is the first tropical butterfly farm ever set up in the tropical world, with an average flying population of 4000 Malaysian butterflies of 120 different species, including the rare Indian Leaf (Kallima paralekta) and the endangered Yellow Bird wing (Troides helena).

The Penang Butterfly Farm is now a household name in Penang and a "must-see" for visitors since it opened in 1986. The farm located right at the end of the tourist hotel strip at Batu Ferringhi stands on a 0.8 hector site in Teluk Bahang, about 17km from George town. It has become one of the most popular stops on Penang's round island tour. The success of the Butterfly Farm as a tourist attraction has even inspired a series of similar commercial operations in Malacca, Cameron highlands and Singapore.

Penang Times Square is the latest shopping centre and commercial centre which is located at George Town, Penang. It was opened in October 2009. The site is built on what is formerly the Escoy Smelting Company, it is located along Jalan Dato Kramat and just a stone's throw away from KOMTAR.

One of the construction proposals is the inclusion of a monorail station in the shopping centre, in line of a government proposal to connect the east side of the island with the Penang Monorail service in the near future. But it is no longer available and we do not know whether it will be built, or not.

The Clock Tower, Penang

The Clock Tower is a colonial reminder from the era of the British Empire in Penang. The place is locally famous as George Town and is the location for the renowned Jubilee Clock Tower in Penang.

Built to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897, the Clock Tower was a gift to the British authorities from a local millionaire, Cheah Chen Eok. Moorish stylings dominate the structure and from afar, it resembles the minaret of a mosque.

The Moorish style clock tower is 60 feet in height and behind the tower one can have a view of the wall surrounding fort Cornwallis.

The clock tower was build to mark the Diamond Jubilee year of Queen Victoria. The Clock tower comprises of four tiers and the clock is placed in the third tier.

The very first tier is octagonal in shape supported by a square base. The second and third tiers are rounded off by arch and domed cupola.

The Clock tower incorporates Moorish design styles like arches, horse shoe arched openings, domes and balconies.

The Pristine white colored clock tower resembles a minaret and is very artistic.

The Jubilee Clock Tower is located at the junction of the Lebuh Light and Lebuh Pantai and is symbolical of the long rule of Queen Victoria.

Langkawi Wildlife Park was formerly known as the Langkawi Bird Park.There are hundreds of exotic birds in the beautifuly-landscaped spacious enclosures are still there, with hundreds more being added. The makeover has increased the exhibition area on the left and the rear portion of the main showcase area. The new extension on the left will accommodate a selection of other species of wildlife.

A walk-thru parakeet house with hundreds of colourful birds is among the latest attractions as well. Penang’s Tropical Spice Garden, How It All Began

There are over 500 exotic varieties of plants in the garden from tropical regions around the world. Given their importance, the spice plants look surprisingly insignificant. In earlier times they were vital in preserving foods and in healing the sick. So, in centuries past, European sailors headed east in search of the legendary Spice Islands.

In 1786, Captain Francis Light, a British East India Company trader, took possession of Penang and the Company formed a 53-hectare spice plantation in Ayer Itam valley, near the centre of the island. Pepper was Penang’s first major crop, introduced in 1790 from Indonesia. One of the oldest and most valuable spices, its use as a currency in Roman times gave rise to the term ‘peppercorn rent’.

Three trails wind through the 3-hectare Spice Garden: Yellow for Spices, Red for Ornamental plants, and Green for Jungle plants, each taking a leisurely 20 minutes. The paths are cool and shaded from the sun, meandering up and down the hillside with seats at intervals to rest and reflect on the garden’s beauty. The air is infused with the pungent scent of crushed spices: nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves. Hidden amidst foliage of myriad shades of green, waterfalls trickle down the hill. Batu Tenggek (War Memorial), Teluk Intan

Another attraction in Teluk Intan is the 'Batu Tenggek' (Sitting Boulder) which is situated at a junction in the town centre. The rock was believed to be placed by a British soldier and was a size of a matchbox. Over the years, the small rock grew bigger until it reached the size of a boulder. Upon closer inspection, crystal-like substances can be seen throughout the rock's surface. As crystals have expanding properties, this might explain the growing nature of the stone. This boulder is now part of a local war memorial built to commemorate World War I and World War II. The plaque on the memorial carries a line from Laurence Binyon's famous poem, For the Fallen :

In 1787 SXI began as a Melayu Medium school, in a hut in a jungle clearing. But SXI was progressive, it entered its pupils for government scholarships for the prestigious Queen's Scholarships, and from 1892 for the Cambridge exams. The building was enlarge, and in 1900 the enrolment was over 400.
About 1900 on account of the tin miners, rubber estates and the Federated Malay States (FMS-Railway) Penang became an important port. Strict health regulations, the invention of motorcar, the need for rubber tyres and electricity, all these brought prosperity to Penang. SXI had over 1000 pupils, hygiene was a compulsory subject : pupils attended morning and afternoon sessions : and the building was an imposing edifice. The boarding department was flourishing, the school has a spacious playing field and a cadet CORP was formed. But in December 1941, SXI was bombed and ceased to function during the Japanese occupation years.
After the war, SXI was housed in huts on the school field pending the completion of the new building. The secondary had "forms" and the primary schools had "standards". SXI had its own laboratories and workshops : a canteen replaced the hawker system. The school uniform was compulsory, elaborate perfect and monitor system was established : school games and athletics were more organized. SXI had Form-6, and Bahasa Melayu became the medium of instruction. Xaverians are advance while the Xaverians of 1787 were isolated and the present SXI is in a concrete jungle no distance from anywhere.

Wesak Day is celebrated around May by Buddhists which marks three momentous events in Buddha's life - his birthday, enlightenment, and achievement of Nirvana. The celebration begins at dawn when devotees gathering at the temples to meditate on the Eight Precepts. Donations, giving food to the needy, offerings of incense, joss sticks and prayers are carried out. The sutras are chanted in unison by monks in saffron robes. The celebration is highlighted by a candle procession.

There were also many prophets of doom who predicted that it could not be built as designed, as it was the first of its kind in Asia. They were all wrong because Yayasan Sabah Headquarters has not only been built, but has become one of the most famous and admired buildings in the country. Set beside the blue waters of Likas Bay and its coral-fringed coast, it is connected to town by a 11.2 km coastal road which cuts across the bay. The tower-like Yayasan Sabah Building has been likened to a modern Taj Mahal, which changes its colours throughout the day, depending on the clouds, sun and ever changing colours of the sky. A fitting symbol of Yayasan Sabah, this towering building which looks like a giant rocket ready for launching, not only represents its forward looking attitudes but the whole of Sabah as well - for reflected on the special reflective glass walls of the building is Mt. Kinabalu, the mighty symbol of the State, which although 80 km away can be seen on days when the sky is clear.

Penang Snake Temple

The Snake Temple is situated in Sungai Kluang, Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia and is perhaps the only temple of its kind in the world. The temple is filled with the smoke of burning incense and a variety of pit vipers. The vipers are believed to be rendered harmless by the sacred smoke, but as a safety precaution, the snakes have also been de-venomed but still have their fangs intact, visitors are warned against picking up the reptiles and placing them on their bodies for taking pictures. Local devotees believe that the temple's snake population has come there of its own accord.

The temple was built during the 1850 in memory of Chor Soo Kong, by a Buddhist monk who moved to Penang. Chor Soo Kong was born with the Tan surname in China during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). He was very serious about spiritual attainment and was ordained at a young age. Legend has it that Chor Soo Kong, who was also a healer, gave shelter to the snakes of jungle. When he died at the age of 65 after a lifetime of good deeds, he was bestowed the honorific title Chor Soo, meaning an eminent historic figure continuously revered by a community generation after generation. After the completion of the temple, snakes appeared on their own accord. The Snake Temple was originally named the "Temple of the Azure Cloud" in honor of the beauty of Penang's sky.

Kuala Lumpur has a new attraction which is the Grand bloom of fulfillment located in the High Class Shopping Mall, Pavillion. The Grand bloom of fulfillment is the latest glass sculpture made by LiuliGongFang. This is said to be the latest breakthrough in the crystal art sculpture scene. This first ever Liuli crystal fountain, costs RM8mil to make. Needless to say, Grand Bloom of Fulfillment has made it into the Malaysia Book of Records as Malaysian tallest crystal fountain.

You can read the meaning from the sculpture there itself where there is a notice on the meaning of it where it says as below

"The bloom of the Hibiscus, the national flower of Malaysia is the symbol of opulence, passion and progression. The three bowl represent Malaysia's multiracial culture living harmoniously in unity. Ascending to signify the growing aspirations of the people. Serenely the water converges from all directions, an endless source of blessings and prosperity. This crystal glass fountain bestows luminous wealth upon the city and the nation."

The Fountain has also had light up a different tone of colors at night which it makes a magnificent view of KL a more lively area and a new choice of places for photography and shots in Malaysia

The temple compound is quite large actually, most often visitors may missed the rear section where the well and other attractions. Unlike the comparing neighbor Wat Chaiyamangalaram or the further away Wat Buppharam, Dhammikarama Burmese temple has a better green and serene environment. Actually, the temple was awarded first prize in Penang State landscaping and beautification Program competition that held back in year 2001. Trip to Bentong – Chanmang Waterfall

This waterfall is located approximately 8 kilometers out of town. It is a scenic place very popular with the locals and tourists alike. The waterfall is easily accessible by road. The road is small yet is in good condition. From Bentong Hospital, travel up to Raub road. After 1.5 km will be seen a sign board showing the left turn to Chamang Waterfalls. From this road just drive straight all the way until you reach the destination. Along the way the sight is changing from village to rubber plantation, durian orchard, forest and lastly the waterfalls. Once there, pay attention to the sign board display dangerous area where there are whirlpool or strong undercurrent between rocks. The red sign with skeleton sign is a no no area. When climbing the waterfalls rock be very careful. Many have drowned in this area.

In my trip here, I can feel the our lovely country which is not polluted. You can breath with the greeny smells of the plants and you can felt the cold water as well as the nice view of Malaysia. The water was so clear and I can say is a lovely place to travel. The area was big and many people is having picnics and swimming around the area.

Besides that, there is a hanging bridge which is quite stable and well maintain compare to some bridges I had cross which really scary. Overall the bridge here is nice and you can see the view of the waterfall and felt the coldness and the breeze when you are standing in the middle.

Other than that, you can also walk down to enjoy the cold water of the place and playing along the river bank. A nice place of relaxing .. as well you can hear the dizzling water sound, sound from the waterfall and all. As so, I had take a couple of pictures on the places to share as well.

Gurney Drive, Penang

Gurney Drive (Malay: Persiaran Gurney) is a popular seafront promenade in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia. The road is also one Penang's most popular tourist destinations, famous for the "hawker food" sold from food stalls formerly located along the seafront, now relocated close by. Previously known as the New Coast Road, it was completed in 1936 along what was then known as the North Beach, and renamed in 1952 after Sir Henry Gurney, High Commissioner of Malaya (1950-1951), who was assassinated by the guerillas of the Malayan Communist Party during the Malayan Emergency.

Over the years, the beaches along Gurney Drive have largely been lost to coastal erosion. More recently, a land reclamation project at nearby Tanjung Tokong has reversed the erosion, leading to the accretion of silt and mud off Gurney Drive. Mangrove saplings have sprouted in the mud, which is now frequented by egrets and other birds as well as mudskippers. There have been suggestions that this area, formerly earmarked for reclamation under the (now suspended) Penang Outer Ring Road project, be reclaimed for a recreational park or allowed to develop into a mangrove forest

But now, Mines is no longer as special as before but there still have some captivating attraction . The places here is indeed special and there is a lot iof interesting things to see which inclusive a nice musical fountain

The open-air Musical Fountain theater can accommodate 4,000 spectators at any one time. Incorporating light, musical and water, the “water dance” is a spectacular sight.
They also have animal kingdom as well but there is not much animals can be seen there compare the last trip I been there

There is also sculptures of the Chinese calendar 12 animals which is indeed a nice view to see,

There is also Garden Boat to enjoy . This birdcage-like boat takes you on a cruise along a 200 metres canal. At the same time, enjoy the carefully formed landscaping with a relaxing ambience.

The place is really nice and cozy.. where you can enjoy your shopping on the first till the fourth flooe and also enjoying the beautiful view of Petaling Jaya and flowers at the roof top. Leaning Tower ( Menara Condong) Teluk Intan

Malaysia boasts its own equivalent to the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, right here at the heart of the Teluk Intan town centre. Like its Italian counterpart, the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan has a leftward slant, and all the ingredients to make it an architectural sight to behold. It was erected in 1885 by a Chinese builder, Mr. Leong Choon Cheong. It started to tilt four years after its construction finished due to an underground stream. The tower had a clock at the top, and still rings every 15 minutes now. The clock tower was originally used as a water tower, supplying water to the town area, while also reporting the time to all townfolks. It had also served as a beacon to guide ships into Teluk Intan Port.

Standing at 25.5 metres tall, its construction detail gives it an appearance comprising of 8 different levels. Once inside, however, one will be surprised to discover that the building is actually divided only into 3 storeys

Currently it is a local tourist attraction, and no longer stores water. The area around the tower was paved with bricks and became a plaza. The main street at the centre of Teluk Intan is also named after Mr. Leong Choon Cheong to commemorate his contribution. The name of the street is "Jalan Ah Cheong"

KL Bird Park

The Kuala Lumpur Bird Park (Malay: Taman Burung Kuala Lumpur) is a public aviary in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is a popular tourist attraction in the country, receiving an average of 200,000 visitors every year. It is located adjacent to the Perdana Lake Gardens of Kuala Lumpur which is is only 10 minutes drive away from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur.

This Bird Park houses more than 5000 birds, from more than 50 species, in an enclosed aviary. Out of these 5000 birds, 90% are local birds and 10% were imported from overseas. It is the home to more than 2,000 birds of approximately 200 species of local and foreign birds. The size of this bird park is around 7-16 hectares

This trip of bird park had taken us about 3-4 hours work and the ticket is kinda expensive which is RM 15 for Malaysian and RM 48 for non-Malaysian . What you can do here inclusive of Bird watching as well as photography.

Bird-watching is a common activity here where the flora and fauna is rich. The Kuala Lumpur Bird Park has earned the reputation among those who are keen on the study of birds in their natural habitat. Some of them include research scientists who monitor bird nests for the study of behavioral patterns.

Sprawling approximately 20.9 acres of verdant valley terrain, the park is divided into 4 zones; Zone 1 and 2 make up the free-flight zone; Zone 3 is the Hornbill Park and Zone 4 is where the birds are placed in separate cages and mini aviaries.

One of KL Bird Park's most extraordinary feature is that in Zone 1, 2 and 3, birds are let free in the aviary which closely resembles their natural habitat. With this free-flight concept, birds are able to breed naturally in this unique environment. There is kinda a lot of beautiful birds which are able to snap and there are some which the birds are flying freely or either walking freely round the park.

There is also places for you to take pictures with the birds as well but we din take them . Other than that, we love the museum on how the little chicken is born and the process as well you can see the skeleton of the birds in the museum.

It is a good place for learning here for kids as well as adults.

KOMTAR, Penang

KOMTAR (Malay: Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak), or more accurately KOMTAR Tower (Menara KOMTAR in Malay) is Penang's tallest building and the sixth tallest building in Malaysia. It is located in the heart of George Town. When the skyscraper topped out it was the tallest building in Asia, by the time construction was completed it had however been surpassed by Seoul's Korean Life Insurance Building (KLI 63 Building). The 65-storey tower is a 12-sided geometric block, 760ft (232m) tall, sitting atop a 4-storey podium. The complex comprises office and retail commercial space as well as public and recreational facilities. It was designed by Architects Team 3 (AT3) of Singapore.

KOMTAR occupies an 11-hectare site and is the single most ambitious urban renewal project undertaken by Penang Development Corporation, the development arm of the Penang state government. The master plan is divided into five phases for implementation. The complex is named in honour of the second Prime Minister of Malaysia, the late Tun Abdul Razak bin Hussein. The first piling of the building's phase one was done by Tun Razak himself on 1 January 1974. Part of the complex's first phase podium block was completed in 1978.

Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park

The Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park houses more than 6,000 butterflies from 120 exotic species. The park is an imitation of the butterfly’s natural habitat. It includes more than 15,000 plants from 100 species that has been painstakingly landscaped to resemble a Malaysia rainforest atmosphere. Here you can see butterflies flying around freely and there are different of them. Some are beautiful and some are not really.

Contributing to the Butterfly Park’s beautiful landscape is a uniquely designed hydro-pond built with a limestone path right in the centre. Surrounding this hydro-pond is a gazebo, commanding a breathtaking view.
