Penang Toy Museum

"With over 100,000 items, Penang's Toy Museum is reputed to be the first and largest museum dedicated to the world of collectible toys and figurines in Asia!" Reputed to be Asia's first and largest museum dedicated to collectible models, toys and figurines, the Penang Toy Museum is one of the must-see attractions if you happen to be in the Tanjung Bungah area. With more than 100,000 collectibles of international brands, the toy museum delights both young and old. You're just as likely to hear a 45 year-old Star Trek enthusiast exclaim in awe at the miniature Star Trek space crafts as you would a 6 year-old bubbling over the giant-sized 'Stitch' doll.

Among the collectibles that you will see at the museum are the figurines from various computer game characters including Dragon Ball, Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy. There are also impressive collections of miniatures and figurines from tv shows and movies such as the X-Files and Scooby Doo.

One of the highlights of the museum is the Chamber of Horrors, which features figurines and collectibles from horror movies. Hear the chilling maniacal laughter of Freddy Kruger, the villain from the horror movie, Nightmare on Elm Street, as you step in front of its display case. Other quirky and endearing characters you'll see there include the gothic collection of dolls from Mezco Toys, featuring the Loving Dead Dolls.
